In the early morning we drive to the old capital Mzkheta.
On the way we visit the Jvari Monastery (World Heritage Site from the 6th century), which is located on a mountain top near Mzkheta. From here you have a fantastic view of Mzkheta and the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.
From Jvari we drive to the old town of Mzkheta and visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Lunch in Mzkheta.
Then we visit the Shiomgvime Monastery, a basilica from the middle Ages. There are many stories about this monastery. In the late afternoon drive home to the German Mill to Bolnisi.
